Torrent Walk Campsite is nestled between hills and mountains in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
Conveniently located just off the A470, with great access to local attractions such as Coed Y Brenin bike centre, Dyfi Bike Park, watersports at Bala or Barmouth, Zip World and the mighty Cadair Idris mountain. "Cader" is within view from the campsite and only a 10 minute drive to the start of the hike.
Situated just over a mile from the old market town, Dolgellau, there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.
Accommodation
Welcoming tents, caravans and motorhomes, the site has a range of grass and hardstanding pitches. Most pitches come with 10 amp electric as standard, and the rest have optional hook ups. There are also a handful of electric hardstanding pitches with 10 amp electric hook ups and water hook ups. The site is spread across three camping and touring fields, comprising of the main field which is a short walk from the central car park, the lake field (as the name suggests!) and the ledges field which is better suited to tents due to steep access, and slightly further from facilities than the other fields.
Facilities
Site facilities include a large toilet block including hot, powerful showers. There is a shared guest fridge and freezer, microwave and kettle. Guests also have access to the washroom with coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers. Firepits are available to hire from reception.
A petrol station sells essentials down the road, and the market town of Dolgellau is a five minute drive away with shops and restaurants.
